1.2 Number of tracks and indexes that can be emulated

If the number of tracks or the number of indexes in a track is very large, use the above two options to reduce the buffer amount or adjust the balance between the input buffer and transfer buffer to save memory, The emulation can be performed correctly.

However, the actual setting method depends on the free space of the conventional memory of the PC compatible machine used and the length of the file name. As a reference example, the following is a guideline when the free space in conventional memory is 585KB.

 -ib setting value
 -vb setting

If you start the emulator program without setting the above options, the total number of tracks x indexes that can be emulated is about 4000, and the minimum setting of -ib 2 -vb 14 is about 5000. This is a calculation that can emulate a disk image of up to about 40 indexes on each of up to 99 tracks by default, and up to about 50 indexes each when the buffer is set to a minimum.
If you use the disk builder program VCDBUILD.EXE on the virtual CD, you can create a disk image with a maximum of 99 tracks x 99 indexes = approximately 10000 tracks. Will be limited to about 5000.

1.3 Scan playback function

In the
real-time emulation mode, CDDA track fast forward scan playback and fast reverse scan playback are possible. Control from the control screen of multiplayer. Please note that normal scan playback is not possible in direct DOS access mode.
