Editing procedure

The procedure for creating a scenario using the
author editor is as follows: The actual procedure depends on the work.

[1] Open object data
First, load the object data into the object window. The object data is a QuickTime movie or PICT file with a file extension of "MOV" or "PCT" that has already been edited.
When the author editor is started, it is in a new scenario editing mode. Activate the object window and select “Load Object” from the File menu to load the required file. Object data can be added or deleted while editing a scenario.

[2] Place objects
Paste the read object data into the scenario window. Activate the object window, drag the desired object data and drop it on the time axis of the scenario window. The pasting position does not need to be accurate. Double-click the pasted object to open the playback dialog. Enter the start time and playback time.

[3] Set the branch destination (tag setting)
Set the tag name that specifies the branch destination. To set the tag name, double-click the appropriate time axis in the Tag list of the scenario window. The tag name setting dialog opens, so enter an appropriate tag name and exact time.

[4] Create a collision frame
A collision frame is created for the object data in the object window. Select the object data in the object window with the mouse and select “Start Collision Editor” from the Collision Editor menu to start the collision editor window. Create a collision frame using the tear-off menu for creating a collision in the Tool menu. Collision frames can be created for picture objects and movie objects. When creating a collision frame on a movie object, you can also complement between frames.

[5] Set action
The created collision frame can be branched to tags with branch destinations corresponding to Saturn PAD. You can also display (or play) or delete other objects in the object window.
To set an action, select the collision frame with the mouse and select “Action” from the Action menu to open the action setting dialog. In this dialog, select the desired action corresponding to the event.
After creating the collision frame and setting the action, select “Quit Collision Editor” from the Collision Editor menu to close the collision editor window.
