MAP/SCREEN Editor User's Manual
■Image menu
- Can be used when the character window is active. Edit character data directly.
- ●Mirror image
- Inverts the selected range of character images.
- ◆Horizontal flip
- Flips the image horizontally.
- ◆Vertical flip
- Flip the image vertically.
- ●Rotation
- Rotates the selected character image.
- ◆+90°
- Rotates the image 90 degrees counterclockwise.
- ◆-90°
- Rotates the image 90 degrees clockwise.
- ●Attributes...
- Set attribute data to the specified range of characters. "Screen Editor" cannot use this function.
- ●Display palette...
- Specifies the palette used to display the character window. The information set here has no particular effect on the output file. It aims to improve editing efficiency based on intuitive visual effects.
- ●Sort...
- Merge and rearrange character data in a specified range according to conditions. The results are reflected in the pattern name data in the map window.
It is mainly used to pack character data into a certain amount of data.
- ◆H Flip
- Horizontally flipped images are also included in the merge. Sets the horizontal flip flag on the map window.
- ◆V Flip
- Vertically flipped images are also included in the merge. Sets the vertical flip flag on the map window.
- ◆Attribute
- Attribute data will also be merged.
"Screen Editor" cannot use this function.
- ●Offset...
- Moves the entire character data by the specified offset number. The result of the movement is reflected in the pattern name data in the map window.
It is mainly used when some regulations or restrictions arise later and it is necessary to move already edited character/map data.
- ●Usage check
- Erase characters that do not exist in the current map data with #0 code.
It is mainly used to eliminate unnecessary data from character data that is difficult to distinguish or from complex map data. Use effectively in combination with "sort".
