MSB on bit: MSB on(MON), bit 15

 MON

Do not change the MSB of pixel data on the frame buffer
 1
Set the MSB of pixel data on the frame buffer to 1

Shadows when the most significant bit (MSB) is 1 when VDP2 is in a mode that uses shadows (reducing the brightness of pixel data on scroll surfaces) or windows (displaying another surface in a specified area). , handles windows.
Sets MSB to 1 (on) for pixels already drawn in the frame buffer. The color code is valid only when the frame buffer is a color bank code (MSB is used for shadow enable and window enable on the VDP2 side, so there is no RGB identification bit). Color calculations are not possible. Please specify replace for color calculation.
In the case of texture parts, the original picture data is only used for whether there are pixels or not (transparent, end code has no pixels, and other types), so the color code can be either an RGB code or a color bank code. . For non-texture parts, non-texture colors are not reflected in the drawing.
If MSB On is set to 1, do not specify color calculation (replace). Please note that if MSB on is 1, color calculation has no meaning and only processing time will be significantly increased.
For parts that have been meshed, MSB is turned on in a meshed manner.
Here is an example with MSB on:
