Applications that perform multilingual playback allocate MPEG audio data to each channel as shown below. When you set a channel for playback, only the data of the corresponding channel is sent to the decoder, and the data of other channels is discarded. Discarding occurs as the playback channel is transferred, so you can quickly switch channels and play audio from another channel in sync with the video.
An example of playing Japanese on channel number 1 is shown below. French and English audio data will be discarded as Japanese data is played.
