3. Environment necessary for designers


When a designer does development, there are several possible machine configurations. However, for designers, a large part of their dependence is on software rather than hardware, so we will list typical product names and compatible models for each necessary tool.

SEGA recommends the following development environment.

Regarding hardware, we use SGI machines such as INDY and INDIGO2 for 3D tools , and Macintosh series for 2D tools in a network environment. Please refer to the table and figure below for details on the machine configuration and specifications.
