SOUND TUTORIAL 1. Prepare the environment
This chapter explains how to connect the hardware to use Sega Sound Tool.
A Macintosh is required for sound production.
If you consider the equipment configuration with Sega Sound Tool as the center, it will look like the diagram below.
If you use a commercially available tool such as AUDIOMEDIA II, the connection will be slightly different, but it will be omitted in this chapter.

Preparing the equipment
- Although it is possible to create songs without a MIDI sound source, we recommend using one, as the work will be quite burdensome.
- In the case of a MIDI sound source that does not have a connection port to a Macintosh, use a "MIDI interface".
- In addition to DAT, MD and CD players can also be connected to the digital input.
