7. Details about each dialog


●Voice input dialog
Appears when you click the voice window. All data entry and layer window calls are done from this dialog.

About each dialog item

◆Layer (No item) button
Call the layer window. The layer attributes are determined by the PCM<> FM switching button described later.

・Voice Name
Voice name. You can enter up to 31 half-width characters.
However, up to 18 half-width characters and 9 full-width characters can be displayed in the window.

・BendRange
・Portament
・Volume Bias
By moving the slider knob, you can set the value using the movement width set in the initial settings described later on the bar part.

◆ayerNo button
You can increase the number of layers without opening the layer window. However, it cannot be reduced.

◆CM<> FM switching button
Determine voice attributes.
Press this button to change the display to PCM<> FM.

・Size
Displays the size of this bank. This item cannot be edited.

●Layer input dialog
This is the input dialog for the layer window when the voice attribute is PCM.
Appears when you click on the layer window.

About each dialog item

◆Para (No item) button
Call the layer parameter window.

・FM item
・Option item
Free space for future use. Currently nothing is set.

・Start&End
Set the key split range. Central When you press the button, a keyboard like the one below will appear and you can set the key split graphically.
In this example, the key split range is set to 0-127, so all keys are selected.

・Other parameters
The usage is the same as the voice input dialog described above.

●Settings on FM layer
If the voice has FM attribute and the number of layers is 2 to 4 before expanding the layer window, initial settings for FM connections will be made. A dialog like the one below will be displayed for initial settings.

Details about each item

◆Name
This is the basic form of the name given to each modulator and carrier, and the name is actually given with a number attached to it.

Example Operation 1, Operation 2, etc.

◆Modulation
Set the modulation value. Even if this value is set to 0, the wiring itself will still be performed.

◆Total Level
Set the total level.

●Algorithm preset
Select how the algorithm is connected. The types of algorithms that can be selected change depending on the number of layers.
The white is the carrier and the black is the modulator.
Selecting these will preset the connections and the position of each data within the layer window.

◆Waveform button
Set the waveform selected here to all modulators and carriers.

◆Setting & not setting
Decide whether to enable these settings.

●Layer parameter window
This window is used to set the details of the layer data called up from the layer window and FM layer window.

Details about each item

1: Waveform button
This button is offset to the top left. Import the waveform data that becomes the original waveform of PCM.

Simple playback of imported waveform data.
However, files imported from YAMAHA tone editors do not have a playback rate specified, so they will be played at 44.1kHz.
Loop playback is currently not supported.

2: Waveform information
Information about the selected waveform shows the number of frames, bit length, sampling rate, and loop range. However, files imported from YAMAHA's Tone Editor do not have a playback rate description, so in that case, the message "Old file unknown" will be displayed.

3: Image of waveform data
Displays an image of waveform data. The black and white inverted area indicates the loop area.

4: EG image
The set parameters are displayed in a simple image. You can manipulate the parameters by dragging the "■" that indicates each point.

5: EG settings
Configure the EG using the slider and text input. The image and this item are linked.

6: Settings related to loops and keys
loop button
Does not loop.
Plays a loop from the start to the end of the loop setting.
Plays a loop from the end of the loop setting to the start.
Play back and forth between the start, end, and start of the loop settings.

Bass note button ( )
Sets the base note for the frequency setting.
There are two ways to set the base note: directly inputting a value and pressing a button. When you press the settings button, the following dialog will appear.
The usage is the same as the key split setting, except that you cannot select multiple keys unlike the key split setting.

7: LFO related parameters
How to use the slider text data input part is explained in the voice input dialog mentioned above, so please refer to that.
The buttons for LFO Wave settings are as follows.

sawtooth wave
square wave
triangle wave
noise

9: TotalLevel related parameters
Each setting in the pop-up menu is assigned a table that can be set in the "Settings" menu described later.
